·               Managed all the facilities daily functions for the West Valley City Utah Terminal. To include daily load planning, dispatching and maintenance needs for several different fleets of equipment and driver personnel. This included bulk commodities, Hazardous materials and flatbed fleet.

·               Brokered, planned and dispatched all loads for the company over the road flatbed fleet. This includes negotiating freight rates. Assuring that all loads were picked up and delivered on the agreed too date and time.

·               Managed, trained all terminal personnel. To include all regulatory requirements for the Department of Transportation, DOT, OSHA, MSHA and EPA.

·               Interviewed potential new employees. Arranged or conducted Drug testing and skill testing that included road test for driver applicants. Managed all new hire training with qualified driver trainers at my location. Managed all personnel, qualification file too assure complete regulatory compliance.

·               Managed all Safety and risk management for this facility. To including accident investigations, personal injuries return to work programs.

·               Managed all disciplinary action for this location that included termination of employment when warranted.

·               Acted as landlord for 2 tenant companies that leased off ice and equipment parking spaces for their operations.

·               Company liaison for the customers in my area, assuring that all their transportation needs were met in a timely and professional manner. That included resolving all billing issues, pickup or delivery concerns that may arise.

·               Conduct annual facilities safety compliance review to maintain full regulatory, State and Federal compliance.

·               Supervise all Training activities for assigned terminals, which include 8 driver trainers that conduct the day-to-day training of new employees and recertification as warranted for existing employees. This also includes maintenance, dock and office personnel.

·               Conduct driver observation patrols and ride along observations to assure full safety and regulatory compliance within the daily driving duties assigned to company drivers.

·               Western Regional Safety Manager  for Salt Lake City UT, Colton CA, Sacramento CA, Lincoln NE, Oklahoma City OK terminals. Responsible for all compliance of these terminals, which includes the safety training programs for new hires.  Recertification of the training programs to maintain regulatory compliance with the Department of Transportation which includes Hazardous Material training, OSHA, Ethics & Techniques (professional drivers).

·               Responsible for Security at these terminals which includes developing security procedures and post orders for the staff and security officers that our in place.
